Who are these cats?

Laura O’Kelly would like to tell you she learned
to sing and play fiddle from her grandparents who
came from County Clare or something like that,
but the truth is she grew up in an Irish-American
family that listened to a lot of recordings of
traditional music. Her fiddling helped put the
celternative sound in the successful celtic rock
group: Jeff Greer Band, and as a singer she
was featured at the Kennedy Center as one of
“Washington’s Best Emerging Irish Artists”.
She has played in festivals, pubs and sidewalks
in the US and Ireland. She really can speak
Gaelic and has a Bachelor’s of Music in Music
Education from George Mason University.
In those rare, non-musical moments she
likes to work out and sleep in.

Rick Paulson got his first set of bongos at
the age of 12 and now plays a drum set of his
own design, incorporating congas, djembes,
and doumbek with standard kit percussion.
His previous musical experiences include
having played in several praise bands,
and he’s also not bad at all on guitar.
He has been an avid motorcyclist since age
6 (his current bike is a Yamaha Warrior) and
has competed in both mountain bike and
motocross races. He believes that nothing
compliments General Tso’s Chicken quite
like a Guinness.

Matt Greenleaf is a mythological creature
seen mainly at shows and occasionally at band
practices. As a member of Jeff Greer Band he
was known for his funky bass stylings and his
even funkier taste in socks (if you’ve seen it,
you know what it means!). He can also be heard
with The Gathering, a cutting-edge worship band.
An avid student of several forms of martial
arts and archaic weaponry, we don’t recommend
crossing his path. Matt has foregone cell phones,
email and other modern forms of communication
in favor of time-tested methods such as smoke
signals, messages in bottles, and homing pigeons.
As a twenty-something single guy, foods he
won’t eat have yet to be discovered.
And yes, he looks a lot like Legolas.

Patrick Callahan has been playing guitar since
he was 15 and let’s just say he's a lot older now!
He shares life with his wife and their four kids.
A couple of years ago Rick introduced him to the
world of motorcycles and he's been an active rider
ever since, finding great joy in the way a bike
allows him to experience the beauty of Virginia.
He likes all types of music, foods from everywhere
(especially if it’s spicy), cooking, and reading.
Some friends say he likes being on the internet a
little too much, hinting that he's qualified to
start a 12-step program for the web-addicted.
